About this adventure

Soule Homestead, a nonprofit farm and conservation learning center in Middleborough, runs a December vacation morning for children ages 4 to 6 on Monday, December 28. Soule Sprouts is an outdoor-centered session about connecting with nature in whatever winter weather arrives: children meet and interact with the farm animals, learn about growing food, hike and explore the woods and wetlands, and try age-appropriate science activities, with some time indoors for a snack and crafts. Families pack an extra change of clothes and socks, rain or winter boots, weather-appropriate layers such as snow pants, a hat and gloves, a water bottle and several snacks. Children need to be potty trained and comfortable in the bathroom. Space is extremely limited and the morning needs at least five children to run, so register early through the farm's online booking page; families returning from Soule Summer Camp do not need to resend documents unless something has changed or expired.
