About this adventure
Schaumburg Park District's all-ages trick-or-treat walk winds from Heritage Farm at Spring Valley past the farm's historic buildings and out into the woods and fields. The trail is about half a mile, so children should wear a costume they can walk in comfortably. Entry is timed in 45-minute slots between noon and 2:45 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday so that groups stay spaced out along the path, which makes it calmer than a street trick-or-treat and a good fit for preschoolers and young school-age children. Every trick-or-treater must be registered; caregivers who walk along come free. Parking is at St. Matthew Church (1001 E. Schaumburg Road), with signs leading to the farm. The walk is sponsored by the Spring Valley Nature Club.
