About this adventure
Sachse's free Christmas Extravaganza starts with a lighted Christmas parade along Miles Road at 6 p.m.; spectators can sit along the road to watch, and Miles Road closes between Sachse Road and Haverhill Lane from 5:50 to 7 p.m. After the parade, the city lights its Christmas tree in front of the Michael J. Felix Community Center at 7 p.m., followed by activities until 8:30 p.m.: a snow slide, petting zoo, hayrides, games and visits with Santa. It is held on a Wednesday evening, so it suits families with school-age children who can come out after dinner; plan parking around the road closure.
