About this adventure

North Texas Dance Arts brings its third annual production of The Great Veggie Ballet to the Irving Arts Center's Carpenter Hall for a Saturday-morning performance. The story ballet is set in a whimsical garden world: butterflies flutter, Dew Drops sparkle, Garden Sprites frolic, and a colorful parade of dancing vegetables brings the garden to life. With an 11 a.m. curtain and a playful, easy-to-follow theme, it is a gentle first ballet for preschoolers and early-elementary children, and a chance to see local young dancers on a real stage. Tickets are sold through the Irving Arts Center box office online; the box office is also open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before performances. The center's galleries are free to browse before or after the show (Tuesday–Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.).
