About this adventure

The 38th annual Collingswood Holiday Parade fills Haddon Avenue on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it is one of the biggest family parades in South Jersey. Marching bands, dancers, holiday characters, giants on stilts, floats, Mummers, mascots, classic cars, motorcycles and live music travel from Zane Avenue to West Linden Avenue through the historic downtown, and Santa Claus closes the line-up. Children can watch from the curb along the shop-lined avenue, so bring folding chairs or a blanket and come early for a front-row spot. The parade coincides with Small Business Saturday, so families often stay for lunch and holiday shopping in town afterward, and Santa's free visits at his Haddon Avenue house start the following weekend. Volunteers who want to march can sign up through the Borough's parade page.
