About this adventure

Elves for the Shelves is Radnor Memorial Library's holiday fundraiser race and part of the Christmas in Wayne festivities, starting and finishing in front of the library on West Wayne Avenue. Families can pick a professionally timed 5K, a 2.3-mile walk through the Wayne neighborhood or a half-mile Fun Run/Walk that is open to all ages and stroller- and wheelchair-accessible. Every Fun Run registrant aged 12 and under receives a finish medal, and Santa is on hand for photos. The 5K awards places in age groups that start at 6 and under, so older kids who like to race can compete too. Families, workplaces and community groups are invited to enter as teams and set fundraising goals, with prizes for those who raise $100 or more. Packet pickup is the day before in the library's lower-level Winsor Room; register by November 8 to be guaranteed a shirt.
