About this adventure

Park education staff at Nockamixon State Park lead a 2.5-mile evening walk under the nearly full moon on the park's paved bike trail, starting and ending at the Fishing Pier. Around 7:30 pm the group returns to the pier, where astronomers from the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association set up telescopes for a look at the moon. The whole program lasts two and a half hours including stops. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and pets should stay home because of the telescopes. Bring water, sturdy shoes and a flashlight or headlamp in case of clouds. The walk is free, but spaces are limited and registration is required; rain cancels it.
