About this adventure
A state park naturalist leads a family night of owling in Upper Bucks County. The evening starts with an introduction to Pennsylvania's owls, then the group takes a slow walk of about two miles over slightly uneven terrain, mostly listening for calls. All ages are welcome, but the park notes that hearing or seeing owls needs a quiet group, so it suits children who can walk and stay quiet in the dark. Bring a flashlight (a red light or low-powered white light is best) and water. The program is free with pre-registration, and the exact meeting place is sent in the confirmation email. It is cancelled in bad weather or hazardous conditions.
