About this adventure
In winter Linvilla Orchards in Media runs two family activities. The first is an outdoor Glice synthetic-ice skating rink with winter lighting, open on weekends and select holidays. The second is Fore! The Planet, an indoor mini golf course in the greenhouse that is open daily all winter. The course was created by the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia as an interactive museum exhibit. Its 18 holes explore butterfly metamorphosis, a tropical rain forest, evolution, dinosaur extinction and food chains. Skating costs $13 online or $15 in person and includes skate rental and a one-hour pass; anyone over age 2 entering the rink needs a ticket. Mini golf is $8 online or $10 in person for all ages. A winter cafe in the Garden Center next to the mini golf serves wood-fired pizza. Linvilla also holds separate adults-only Par N' Bar nights, which are not part of this family listing.
