About this adventure

Battle Ground starts its holiday season with its 37th annual community tree lighting at the Battle Ground Event Center on Main Street, a free Friday-evening celebration run by the city's Parks & Recreation staff. Outdoor activities begin at 5:30 pm, with the Battle Ground High School choir singing, photo spots and a chance to visit with Santa's elves. At 6 pm Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive with help from Fire District 3 and the Battle Ground Police, and the community tree is lit at 6:15. The celebration then moves indoors at 6:30, where children can have photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and write letters to Santa. Everything happens at the one venue over about three hours, and the city lists no registration or fee.
