About this adventure
Piedmont's Thanksgiving-morning 5K starts and finishes at the Piedmont Exedra at Highland and Magnolia Avenues. The course is USA Track & Field certified, but families can run, walk or push a stroller, and organizers describe it as a holiday tradition for the whole family. There is a separate, cheaper youth registration for children 12 and younger, so school-age kids can do the full 5K alongside parents. Arrive about 20 minutes early for parking and check-in before the 8:30 AM sharp start. The race is a nonprofit, and net proceeds go to the Piedmont High School cross-country and track and field teams. Spots are limited, and registration prices rise after November 22.
