About this adventure

For two days in early December, Exeter's historic Town Hall on Front Street fills with live, decorated Christmas trees for the 28th annual Exeter Festival of Trees. Fifty trees are decorated and put up for silent auction, and the hall is free and open to the public, so families can simply walk through, admire the trees and pick out favorites without bidding. A bake sale offers treats, and raffle tickets are sold for a chance at a special committee tree filled with local business gift cards and certificates. Proceeds go to the Community Children's Fund, which provides warm winter clothing vouchers to Seacoast area children in need. The festival runs Wednesday, December 2 from 11 am to 6 pm and Thursday, December 3 from 11 am to 8 pm.
