About this adventure

Sugar Land Ice Center on Lexington Boulevard runs public skating sessions every day of the week, and admission includes skate rental. On weekdays there are two 2-hour sessions, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., plus a Friday-night session from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Weekend sessions run three hours, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and Saturday evening times vary. A Friday homeschool skate from noon to 2 p.m. costs $10 per skater. Rental skates come in sizes from toddler 8 to adult 13; popular sizes go quickly at busy times. Admission is the same whether or not you bring your own skates, and sessions cannot be split, so skaters pay for the whole session. The rink takes only Visa, Mastercard or cash (no American Express, Discover, tap-to-pay, Apple Pay or Zelle). Families who skate often can buy a 10-session pack for $140, and groups can arrange discounted rates and party space through the rink's party department. Session times are subject to change, and the rink points skaters to its online schedule before they come.
