In this hands-on workshop children learn how a sewing machine works and the basics of sewing while completing a practice project they take home. The library's machines are ready to use, or participants can bring their own machine to learn how it works; all materials are provided. It is held in the Monticello Library meeting room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9. The program is intended for ages 8 to 18; attendees 7 and under must register with an adult caregiver. Registration is required, and the library asks families to reserve only one session of this workshop so more children can take part.
