Caribbean Vibe Steel Drum Band plays a festive 45-minute winter-break set at the Staten Island Children's Museum. Along with the music, the performers share the story of the steel pan, the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago, whose origins lie in the Afro-Trinidadian struggle for freedom and which stands as an example of resilience and human ingenuity. The concert starts at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, and all ages are welcome.
