About this adventure

A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol is the December show in the Broadway Theatre of Pitman's Children's Theatre season, short live musicals made for children roughly 2 to 9. In this version the Big Bad Wolf plays Ebenezer Scrooge and is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, each played by a storybook character, while Cinderella, Prince Philip, Hansel and Gretel help him learn what the holiday is about. The mash-up of fairy tales and Dickens keeps the story light and funny for preschoolers while older siblings catch the jokes. Performances are mostly at 10 am on two December weekends, with an extra 1 pm show on the opening Saturday, which makes it an easy morning outing before lunch in downtown Pitman. Tickets are low-cost reserved seats, so families can book a whole row for a playgroup or grandparents.
