The Broadway Theatre of Pitman stages Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas! as its family holiday musical over two December weekends. The story follows the Grinch, watching the Whos of Who-ville celebrate from his mountaintop with a heart two sizes too small, as he plots to stop Christmas until an unexpected act of kindness changes his mind. Based on the animated special and the children's book, the show mixes familiar characters, comedy and sing-along songs, and works for school-age children who know the story as well as for grandparents who grew up with it. Weekend matinees at 2 pm suit younger children; evening shows start at 7 or 8 pm. The theater sits on South Broadway in downtown Pitman.
