About this adventure
The Arizona Youth Cross Country Championship is the state's big season-ending meet for middle-grade runners, hosted by 4 Peaks Racing on the cross country course at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem. Races are split by grade and gender: girls' and boys' 4th–6th grade championships at 9:00 and 9:30 am, then girls' and boys' 7th–8th grade races at 10:00 and 10:30, followed by team awards for the top 10 finishers per race and top three teams. Runners enter through their school or club coach (registration is on the coaches page), and families come to cheer. Registration and concessions open at 7:30 am; a coffee vendor and a waffle truck serve breakfast, an on-site screen printer sells meet shirts, and parking is free. A good morning out for families of young runners, or for kids curious about joining a cross country team.
