About this adventure
Westgate Entertainment District's annual tree lighting, this year also the climax of its 20th-anniversary month with a grand giveaway. The evening opens at 6:30 pm with stage entertainment — festive performers, an LED drumline, character photos and crafts (while supplies last) — and the tree is lit promptly at 7:00 pm. Santa Claus then takes free photos from 7 to 9 pm, so families can skip a paid mall Santa. Admission and parking are free. A Tuesday-night event two days before Thanksgiving; good for all ages, though the Santa line can get long right after the lighting.
