About this adventure

River Legacy Nature Center and the Arlington Public Library team up for a free, hour-long family story time about animal tracks. The program opens with nature-themed picture books about the clues animals leave behind as they move, then families move around the Nature Center's atrium to look closely at track specimens and learn how to recognize signs of North Texas wildlife, from footprints to other traces. It is designed for young learners (ages 2 and up, with all ages welcome) and their grown-ups who want to ask questions and explore together, so it suits toddlers, preschoolers and early-elementary siblings alike. The atrium is stroller friendly and has restrooms and drinking fountains. Pair it with a walk on River Legacy's wooded trails along the Trinity River if the weather is good. The program is free, but an RSVP through the center's online form is required.
