About this adventure

Adaptive Esports gives children, teens and adults with disabilities a supervised place to play video games together, and the November session is all about Minecraft. Over two hours at the Sterling Heights Community Center, players can join guided gameplay, team or individual matches and mini-tournaments, practise skills and simply enjoy free play with peers. City staff stay with the group the whole time to help and keep things running smoothly, and the emphasis is on teamwork, sportsmanship and making friends rather than winning. The fee covers the gaming, supervision, two slices of pizza and a pop. It is open to ages 7 and up, so a school-age child who loves Minecraft but finds busy gaming events or arcades overwhelming can play alongside other kids in a calmer, supportive setting. Registration is online through the city's recreation system.
