About this adventure

For five weeks this winter the North American Aerospace Museum in McMinnville (the former Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum) hosts Illuminate, a holiday program that bundles three experiences on the museum grounds. Goose Lights lets families walk among millions of lights around historic aircraft, including the famous Spruce Goose, with holiday music, food and drinks. The Glide & Gather ice skating rink, presented by the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce, lets kids skate beneath the wings of legendary planes and is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with vendors alongside. Starlight Lane, presented by the See Ya Later Foundation, is a drive-through light display that runs mainly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and is priced per car, a good fit for families with little ones who would rather stay warm in the car. Check the museum or Merry McMinnville before going, since nightly hours for the walk-through lights and skating prices are not published yet.
